To Our Valued Customers
In mid-March we made the difficult decision to stop production due to uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak. We wanted to be sure our staff didn’t make product that would potentially sit on our shelves and age if we were forced to close for an indefinite amount of time.
Thankfully, as a food manufacturer and retailer we have been able to continue selling our chocolates via mail order and curbside pick up. Some great discounts on our candies as well as our wonderful customers – many placing multiple orders! – helped us to move quite a bit of candy over the Easter holiday and beyond. Now that our State has begun implementing phases to open more sectors of business, we feel confident to begin making our plan to bring back our full production team.
We have already implemented many safety precautions such as not allowing the public into our facility (curbside ordering and pickup is available), keeping to the same minimal staff to limit the number of employees in and out of our building, increasing the frequency of sanitizing, and mandated gloves, masks and daily temperature checks for our staff before beginning work. We continue to closely follow CDC guidance to be sure we are in alignment with the most up to date policies to keep our employees and customers safe.
Although our sales have not been typical over the last few months, we have been blessed with the support of the local community and beyond! Most of our confections have a shelf life of three to seven months, so thankfully we’ve had quite a bit of candy to continue to sell that is of course well within its optimal time frame for consumption. Unfortunately, since we have not yet restarted production, we have begun to run out of many confections.
We are planning to bring our production staff back at the end of this month (May) to start replenishing our shelves.
We thank you for your patience and support during this unprecedented time. We appreciate your business!
